Critical Laws of the Game You Must Know & Abide By
Choosing good Paintball Rules can be hard. The various Paintball Games have a very open feel to them, allowing you to customize them as you see fit. You can choose to play one of the already existing games or you can create your own variation.
You can even take it a step further and create a whole new game! One very important aspect of the games is just how little your change of Paintball Rules can be. For example, let us look at King of the Hill Paintball:
The goal in King of the Hill is to take over a specified area. This is also where the first part of rule-making comes from.
Which area should be chosen? How long does the area need to be captured for? How many people must be in the area to consider it captured?
All of these questions are different depending on where you are playing your paintball game at.
For example, the difference in size between Indoor Paintball Fields and outdoor Paintball Courses will often cause the areas to capture to be different sizes due to space limitations brought about by each type.
In deciding the number of players who must capture an area, you would first need to know how many are even playing, and then make a judgment based on that.
For example, if you have 8 players with 4 on each team, expecting all 4 to capture an area at the same time may be a little far-fetched, depending on the group and how difficult you wish to make the game. In terms of how long the area must be captured before being classified as “owned,” you must decide on how much time should be spent on each game. The longer the capture timer, the longer the game will last.
As you can see, even in a pre-made game there are many different variables in the Paintball Rules. When you make up your own games there are even more added to the pile. Because of this, it is important to decide on how you wish to play ahead of time and ensure all of the other players also fully understand the rules.
By doing this you greatly lessen the risk of someone being aggravated by not understanding what is going on. This is especially important if you are playing with other seasoned players, as they may be used to a different rule set.
