Paintball Courses

The Different Things to Look For

So you are ready to go out looking for Paintball Courses but do not know what you are looking for or where to find them at.

I was also in this boat at one time (albeit a while ago) and was completely confused by the differences between different course types. In fact, I did not even know Indoor Paintball Fields even existed! Hopefully this guide will help you with understanding some fundamental differences between the different choices.

Indoor/Outdoor

This is a very important decision that must be made by you. The differences between indoor and outdoor courses are big. Some of them are:

  • Space Limitations – Indoor courses will generally have a much smaller area to play in than the outdoor Paintball Courses.

  • Weather – This is important because unlike with indoor courses, in outdoor ones rain, snow, high winds, etc. can all have a very strong effect on your game.

  • Temperature – Although this does not always cause issues, temperature can cause problems with paintballs, causing them to melt or bust before you want them to, possibly causing Paintball Splatter in your weapon.

Obstacles

Along with the decision as to if you wish to go to an indoor or outdoor Paintball Arena, you must also look at what kind of obstacles are present. Although these could be a wide range of items, here are some common ones:

  • Paintball Bunkers – These are somewhat common because they help represent what real wars are like. They allow players to hide inside them and attack enemies while having protection from the outer shell (the bunker)

  • Walls – These are also very common because they grant equal protection to all players. These are especially useful when trying to evade attacks from your enemies, or when you wish to sneak up on them

Paintball Courses

As you can see, there are multiple things to look at when deciding which Paintball Courses you are interested in. I went ahead and left out some more obvious things, such as the distance to the field, the decision as to if you like their rules, and things like that because they are common knowledge.

By keeping all of these things in mind you will make a much better decision on where to play. And remember, if you go to one and it ends up being different than you expected, there are many others left to choose from. Have fun and good luck!
