Paintball Review

Information About Paintball

The goal of this Paintball Review is to enlighten you as to the various parts of paintball. There is a lot to learn but we will break it down into smaller chunks.

Probably the most important aspect of paintball for many potential players deals with the cost.

The cost depends highly upon your way of taking up the game.

For example, if you are planning to play very little, it is probably best to just borrow or rent the gear.

If you plan to play often, it is much better to purchase your gear instead. As such, you will need the following paintball gear:

  • A paintball gun or paintball guns (such as a cheap Angel paintball gun and a cheap sniper paintball gun)
  • Goggles
  • A helmet
  • Protective clothing
  • CO2 (either small cartridges or a large tank)
  • Paintballs

Most of this stuff is pretty cheap but you can expect to spend a few hundred getting you set up properly (and the CO2 and paintballs will be a never-ending expense as every shot you make uses both of them).

Once you have your gear it is time to check out paintball parks. You can alternatively play in the country-side or something like that, but if you wish to play with a lot of others parks are the best option.

For this you can expect expenses to range greatly (there are indoor and outdoor parks, some charge by the day and others by the hour, etc.). Looking at directories for the parks can also often-times lead to finding other players' paintball review of them as well.

Once you have completed the above you are ready to go off and play some paintball games. Luckily most of them can be played on any field, so you have a wide choice of games to play, like:

  • Capture the Flag
  • King of the Hill
  • Domination
  • “Team Slayer” (or regular Free-for-All)
  • Protect the King
  • And any other game you wish to make up!

Although the cost is a little high for playing paintball, hopefully you will still decide to. It really is a fun game so at least try to experience it once – but beware, as you might get addicted to it!

If you have read this entire paintball review and still are not completely sure if you would like to play the game long-term, you can always borrow or rent the gear so you can test it out.

But if you do this, keep in mind that there are tons of parks, lots of different guns (such as automatics, bazookas, mines, etc.) and tons of players.
